Graphic Lettering Decals
The vinyl used for
most graphic lettering is capable of standing up
to tough weather conditions for a few years
without loosing any of it quality.
Graphic lettering is used for much more than
just conveying information, it is also very
effective for decoration and promotion. Graphic
lettering can be used almost anywhere, for
indoors to outdoors, even on boats. New graphic
lettering is often created using computer
software, and can have a complicated
installation process.
Labeling a room or vehicle is a common use of
graphic lettering. Vinyl letter decals have
become the standard in labeling applications,
thanks to recent innovations in vinyl adhesives
and in vinyl itself. Installation of vinyl
decals is relatively simply, and can usually be
done by a non-professional without the use of
complicated tools or methods.
Usually graphic decals will be installed using
both backing paper and some form of transfer
film, allowing you to just remove the backing
paper and apply the decal to any surface. If you
are using graphic lettering that has been
created using new pressure sensitive adhesive
you can make minor adjusts before applying firm
pressure to affix the graphic. To ensure that
the letters stay in place the transfer paper is
usually left on during installation.
After installation is complete, the transfer
paper can simply be removed. The only
maintenance that vinyl decals will require is
occasional cleaning. The vinyl used for most
graphic lettering is capable of standing up to
tough weather conditions for a few years without
loosing any of it quality.
